FAQs

  1. What are the publications that are tracked – Over 250 publications that include: English mainlines, Financials, Magazines, Regional Language Papers and Online websites, are tracked on a daily basis from 9 cities across India.

  2. Can additional publication be tracked – The list of publications tracked by us is exhaustive and covers all important Tier 1, 2 and 3 publications. Additional publication can be tracked on case to case basis; additional charges will be as applicable. 

  3. Is it possible to get news tracked from other cities as well – Since our offices across 9 cities are located strategically, they provide effective pan- India coverage. Hence our service is provided through these 9 cities only.

  4. What is the basis of tracking the articles – The articles are tracked based on the keywords provided by the client.

  5. How many keywords can one chose for industry articles – There is a standard list of keywords for each industry sector. The keywords are exhaustive and ensure all relevant articles are covered.

  6. How frequently can one change the tracking brief –  In exceptional circumstances only, otherwise change in the tracking brief is not encouraged.

  7. How is the news segregated – The news is segregated and presented as client, competition and industry.

  8. What are the numbers of competitors that get featured in the competition section – All major  competitors get featured in the competition section by default. The rest get covered in the industry section.

  9. Can the news about competitors be segregated individually – Specific competitors’ news can be segregated individually with an additional charge as applicable.

  10. What is the frequency of news sent to the clients through email – The news is delivered twice a day through email. The early edition comprising of the client news and the consolidated edition comprising of client, competition and industry updates. The early edition is delivered by 10:30 am, followed by the consolidated edition at 12:00 noon.

  11. Does the  news on Sundays and holidays get tracked on the same day – The news on Sundays and holidays are tracked and sent on the next working day. The news gets delivered after the day’s news.  
                                                                                              
  12. Can the emails be sent to multiple ids We encourage the clients to provide multiple email ids, however not more than 10 email ids are preferred per account.

  13. Sometimes the characters appearing in the articles sent are different from what appears in the newspaper –The process of converting the print image to a digital one involves OCR process, though we take utmost care in this conversion, sometimes some of the characters are different from that appearing in the newspaper publication.

  14. Can a  printout be taken of  the articles – Yes, however the print size needs to be adjusted while taking out a print.

  15. Can the article be forwarded through mail – Simply click on ‘File’ and select- ‘send to’. The article can be forwarded as a link or as a page.

  16. Is it possible to copy a portion of the article Yes, since the format of the service is html; it is easy to copy and save a portion or the entire article. However, the images have to be saved separately.

  17. Are the regional language article translated – The headline of the regional language article is translated into English, the entire article is in its original form in regional language.

  18. Is the pdf/ jpeg file of the articles available – An automated pdf/ jpeg converter will be available shortly with every news link. The article can then be converted from html to either a pdf or jpeg.

  19. How backdated are the archives –The news tracked is customized according to individual client, hence the archives are maintained from the time we begin the service for that client.

  20. How many users can view the archives There is no restriction on the number of users, the user id is a multi terminal and multi user id, the discretion of sharing the user id and password is maintained at client’s end. However the use is restricted to within the organization.

  21. While searching on the archives, what if one gets a ‘server-error’– This may happen if there are large number of articles present in the date range chosen. Please choose a shorter date range and try again. If the problem is still not resolved, please contact our customer service.

  22. If the web-enabled service is opted for later, will the archives be available from the time the service has begun – Chances are it might, though there is no guarantee for it.

  23. How frequently are the news articles updated on the client’s website – Our automated software ensures the client’s website is updated on the same day the news appears in the publication.

  24. Who selects the news to be uploaded on the website – Our automated software links to your website to upload all your positive credible news, there is an editorial filter that filters out the unwanted articles before uploading to your website.

  25. What are the criteria for selecting the news to be  uploaded  onto the client’s website – We follow 4 criteria while uploading client’s news on their website. The client has the liberty to select from them- 1. The news is positive and is a direct coverage, 2. The news has client’s mention as well as mention of its competitor, but client has a substantial coverage, 3. Client’s related industry article where client has a mention, 4. Unrelated industry article where client has a mention.

  26. Can industry- related articles get uploaded on website too – The news updation on your website is to build credibility in the eyes of your stakeholders. This is achieved by uploading all your positive credible news having mention of your company or its spokesperson. Industry articles dilute the purpose of this service and as such are not uploaded.

  27. Is website updation a standalone eservice – The website updation service is a value add to the basic news aggregating service and is available as a package.

  28. What is the time period of engaging the service – The service is offered for a period of one year with the option to disengage after 3 months of beginning the service after giving a month’s notice.

  29. Can the service be accessed through mobile phone – The news can be accessed through GPRS enabled mobile phone. This facility is available after availing the web-enabled service.

  30. Is there a facility for sms alerts – SMS alerts are not available at present though one can access their news through any GPRS enabled mobile phone.

  31. Is the electronic (tv) media also tracked – We specialize in coverage from print and online media, electronic media is not covered at present.

  32. Are the blogs tracked As yet blogs are largely general in nature and not domain specific. As and when this becomes an important tool of information we will start tracking blog articles.

  33. Does press releases also get disseminated to media – We are a news aggregating service and do not disseminate press releases to media.
